the service times for this sunday are:
8.00am joint bcp communion at sullington
9.30am morning prayer at thakeham
for those who don't know, 'bcp' stands for the book of common prayer which is basically a service book of extremely traditional language. it last about 20 minutes, but it is really for those who just want a short quiet, traditional communion.
at 9.30am we have a service of morning prayer at thakeham. in effect, it's the same format as the matins service, but with a more modern approach - in language and structure. the service doesn't have a communion in it, and although there is a particular format to the service, we hope people will find it accessible, relaxed, and relevant. there will be a supervised sunday school in the church room and school hall which will run alongside the service in church for any children that join us.
george cockman will be leading the service and speaking to us today. we welcome anyone and everyone to come and join us at any of our services - we're really trying and hoping to build a real sense of community and togetherness within the church - we'd love to see you there.
