if you're reading this, then you are showing some kind of interest in what we are trying to be here in thakeham. you may have discovered by now that our mission statement is:
‘aSpire to Christ and Community’
and that is exactly what we are about. we want to be a people who are striving to serve our community in a christ-centred way - basically to be living examples of jesus in the world - through spontaneous acts of care, compassion, acceptance, forgiveness, mercy and love. of course this isn't always easy, and we don't always get it right, but we feel this is what we are called to be, and we see it as an honour - and to us, this is what 'church' is.
so, in order to achieve this aim, in order for the church to function properly, we accept it comes at a sacrificial cost on many levels - our time, our energy, our finances our commitment, but this doesn't daunt or worry us, because as we've said, it's a privilege to do this work.
the fact remains though that in order for the church to be here not just now, but for the future too, costs money. there are many faithful people who give in many different ways to the life of the church - this is all part of the christian life. if you're still interested in our work, and what the church is here in thakeham then there are a couple of options for you -

remember this though - we're not just after people's money, we welcome and accept everyone to share in what we are trying to do and be here in our community, and we'd love you to be a part of it - there have been many amazing things happen so far, and we are certain there are many exciting times ahead - i can almost guarantee, the journey will not be boring, mundane or predictable.
