in 2009 we applied to 'awards for all' for a grant towards a multi-media installation in our church here in thakeham.
we really wanted to enhance our worship and the contents of our services, and also provide a much needed facility within our community. we therefore applied to have an electric 10 foot screen, and data-video projector professionally installed within our church building. it has been completed to such a high standard, that you can barely notice the changes that has been made.
we are extremely grateful to 'awards for all' for their very generous grant, and along with a donation from the 'chanctonbury lions' and a few other small gifts we were able to cover the whole cost.
our church here in thakeham exists to serve its community, hence our mission statement: 'aspire to christ and community'. and we believe this new installation will enable us to provide not just an interactive, relevant and relaxed approach to 'church', but also the opportunity for the whole community to benefit and use this equipment.
