st. mary's thakeham is running an alpha course for its members.
it's starts on wednesday 6th may at 7.00pm with an introductory meal held in the village hall. this will be to explain what doing the alpha couse means. mr harry goring will be our guest speaker.
there are no strings attached, for you to commit to anything, just come along and see what's it's about, you decide then whether you'd like to take part.
then over the next 6 weeks we will meet together for a meal, watch a dvd and then break into smaller groups for a discussion which gives you the opportunity to ask any questions. don't worry you don't have to ask anything, but on the other hand you might have loads of stuff you wish to discuss - it's your call.
we're hoping that as many people as possible connected with the church will take part - it's a great opportunity just to see what we as christians actually believe and why - then hopefully in due course, we'll be able to offer it to the wider community.
