Isaiah 9:7:
'for a child has been born - for us! the gift of a son - for us! he'll take over the running of the world. his names will be: amazing counsellor, strong god, eternal father, prince of wholeness.'
and so as we approach christmas day, let us remember just what it is we're celebrating - christ-mass. mass = the greek word for celebrate, christmas is the celebration of the birth of christ.
as the great song goes 'veiled in the flesh the godhead see, hail the incarnate deity'. let us celebrate and welcome god becoming human in the form of jesus into our world, and hopefully our lives.
